Established in 2000, the Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists studio is the first in Australia to occupy the intersection between supported studios and Aboriginal Art Centres.
The studio provides a means for Indigenous artists living with a disability in Central Australia to develop and receive recognition for their artistic practices. The painting process is an expression of self and a connection to country, upholding personal and cultural identity.
Exhibited nationally, Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Art is highly sought after by galleries and private collectors alike for its distinctive and vibrant style of figurative and landscape painting.
Just a 20 min walk from the town centre in the Alice Springs industrial area, the Bindi Gallery showcases the eclectic work of the Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artsits as well as a range of merchandise. The studio behind the gallery can be visited by appointment.
